Does that restriction apply for travel both to & from. Or will LY allow you to bring on whatever you want including Gels and water out of TLV when flying to those cities. But will adhere to the restrictions in place which would prohibit from doing so on the flight to TLV.
I dont know why LY or security at BG would care what one brought on board, of cause except those items that have been banned from LYs cabins since 1900. ie, I believe that the ban on rollerboards is still in effect out of the UK and BA more or less has banned them or at least it did for awhile. So that would mean anyone flying LY out of LHR would NOT be able to board with a rollerboard, dont see the problem unless the UK authorities banned them from ALL incoming Carriers as well, as to why a passenger wouldnt be able to at least have their RB with them in the cabin on a LY TLV-LHR flight. Or why they wont let you board with a bottle of water, again thats out of TLV only.
the problem with the RB could be if you cant take in with You in the cabin on the LHR-TLV flight will they count it as the 1 piece of luggage that they allow as checked luggage. If not then no prob if it counts , I can see where a person might not want to take it with them on the TLV-LHR flight as then if they hve a reg bag checked they might have to pay for the RB on the way back.
