If I remember correctly (it's been a few years since I took the Delta Shuttle), Delta has open seating for coach on its shuttle aircraft, and that just drives me crazy.
Definitely US for the upgrades, even on such a short flight.
I think I am 100% for upgrades on the shuttle in the last 2+ years.
Any idea on Delta for the upgrades?
The 'remote' terminal at LGA is what makes the DL Shuttle great - no crowds, closer to NYC, and not having to deal with the traffic lanes for the main terminal. You said you're simply flying between LGA and DCA - why would you care then about beyond LGA/DCA connections or whether the terminal is remote or not.

As for seating, less of a chance of being stuck in a middle seat on DL as well as better legroom/pitch than US.

Also, you said you 'will be flying' the Shuttle quite a bit (implying the future) and yet you say you've been 100% for upgrades on the shuttle in the last 2 years?
