Just wanted to report that my wife and I had a fantastic stay at this property. It is truly world class. What distinguished it for me (other than the incredible view from my room) was the staff---almost always I feel a little out of place in this kind of hotel. Its sort of a hushed tone, expensive sculpture, smallish lobby sort of hotel. I have found that tends to bring some pretentiousness. Certain guests get VIP treatment, most 'normal' folks don't.

At this property, my wife and I were treated as well as the Boston Red Sox players that were staying there the same time. We were greeted by name when we pulled up every day, given good advice, friendly chats, nobody was trolling for tips, etc. In short, we were made to feel really comfortable, and that's not always a given.

The room itself was quite nice--we had a corner suite. 2 smallish rooms with a hallway and a huge, beautiful bathroom in the middle. Our sitting room directly overlooked the Space Needle, the bedroom looked out at the bay. Couldn't ask for a better view in Seattle. Turndown service and ice every night. A few pieces of furniture were more scuffed up than they should be, and I sort of expected flat screen tv's given the tony nature of the place, but those are very, very minor. Location was perfect for touring Seattle.

So, let me join the chorus on this one--highly recommended.
