Thank you everybody for such valuable advice. I hadn't thought about the fact that if we keep the car and valet park it at The St Regis, that we can leave most of our stuff in the car. It's amazing on these boards, how things like this come out - just hadn't thought of that! Yes The St Regis is very expensive and way over our budget, but we thought we'd have a real treat for our last night! Hopefully nearer the time I might spot a deal which we can take advantage of.
