Reading the various sites that talk about Titanium and Black have just left me confused.

The impression I get, and please correct me if I am wrong, is that Amex appear on the whole to be ending the Black Card. Instead, they are replacing it with a new product that is called "Titanium" and appears that the card is in fact made from Titanium.

I first got my card when it was launched, and the box of toys that it came with and the list of "features" never actually materialised, and I constantly find myself reconsidering the benefit of it over Platinum, but ultimately I renew it. My membership comes up for renewal in November and again I find myself wondering if it is worth bothering, especially if what I read about SPG is true.

So whats the plan for existing Black members if they drop the card, will they automatically switch them across to the new offering "Titanium" or will they drop you to "Platinum" and then apply the new mentioned card retrictions to new "Titanitum" holders, i.e the spend bands etc. I certainly rarely spend the monthly minimum I have seen quoted.
