Nope!

In fact, it is even better than you think, because you will earn miles and tier points for the WT+ fare you bought. The net cost of your upgrade will therefore end up being a lot less than 25,000 miles.

One thing you do need to do to put it into persepctive is look at how many seats you can get on these fares. It's often the case that they're quite difficult to get so for your bargain fare perhaps you have to have your travel dates dicated by BA to an extent but so long as you're not in a massive hurry or can book way in advance then this is a good deal.
