Last year (2005) I only stayed at IH 10-15 nights as I semi-boycotted them since they are so inconsistent with regards to quality (some Expresses are nicer than Crown Plaza's). I was only silver (or gold?). I logged into my account to make sure some stays got credited and noticed I got some big bonuses. I also noticed that towards the top of my activity screen it says "You qualified to maintain platinum status for next year." ^ Huh? This year I only have 10 or 15 nights in 2006. This isn't a complaint. Any reason why this happened? Has it happened to anyone else? Regardless I'm sticking with the Marriott's as I have had better success with them.
