Take a look at those lower fares and you might be surprised. Besides, they net always full mileage with bonus and tier points. I think that is much more worth it than just flying around for mileage runs.

I just did a quick check on 'upgrade new booking with miles' and I was quoted £833 to book in WTP with 25000 miles to upgrade to club. This ticket also allowed changes to be made for £50.
I also checked the same flight as a normal booking in club(lowest) and was quoted over £2500 with no changes allowed.
This seems like amazing value, or am I missing something?
