I know the BA web site said the new sizing is "45cm x 35cm x 16cm, the size of a small laptop bag, inclusive of wheels and handles" - I have a Dunhill top closer briefcase which I think is slightly larger - Ill be traveling in C GVA-LHR and F LHR-JFK -- can anyone tell me how strict they are to the exact size? I dont have a measuring tape and the exact briefcase is no longer made by Dunhill so I cant get the exact sizing from the web site.

I havent flown through LHR since the new rules so would appreciate any stories about how much "excess" size they were allowed for carry-on and if there is any consideration for class of travel?
