Maybe some of us in the US were awake in history class when our nation's internment of approximately 120,000 people in the 1940s was discussed. These people were imprisoned based only on their Japanese heritage (some were not US citizens, but approximately 75,000 of them were), with no evidence of guilt. Some of us would prefer not to start heading down that road.
