Don't
ever call the number on the back of your MBNA card. Mine reads 0800 917 4466. That seems to put you through to the call centre in Ireland. They are simply not any good.
Call 0800 062062. You're almost certain to be put through to someone in the Chester call centre and they do seem a bit more switched on.
