And more often than not, I find so long as I have my laptop + a 'net connection, I can do everything I would at home/the office work-wise anyway...so getting to the lounges earlier is never any great hardship for me [I guess on a Saturday if you have a family to worry about though, the extra hour may be more valuable to you elsewhere].
I flew J to SFO last Monday. It took me 6 minutes to get from the entrance to zone R to the First lounge (and that included showing that my laptop bag fit the gauge at the entrance to zone R, checking in my luggage at the F counters, and going through zone R security.)
