If you use Picasa on Windows, or iPhoto on Mac, it doesn't get much easier than Picasaweb. You just select the photos and choose share to web. For iPhoto you need to download Picasa's add-in.

You get 250MB for free, and can purchase an additional 6GB for $25/year.
