In general the answer is no. Courtyards do not have to provide breakfast for any level elite (including Platinum and above.) The referenced text you quote states "Marriott Hotels & Resorts" and that refers to Full Service Marriott hotels, and to add a little more confusion to the fire, it does NOT include Resorts (go figure.)

With that said, it probably couldn't hurt to ask when checking in about complementary breakfast coupons. Just don't expect them to be provided.

I decided to actually look around the website and I guess Marriott has actually dropped the "Resort" text from the Gold elite benefits description. Unfortunately, it still shows up on the "condensed" benefits chart on the main Members Benefits webpage. But it looks like they are slowly cleaning up the text.
