On Friday 1 Sep - 5:15pm, LGW security took me 15 mins. However, I did invest spending 2 minutes, just standing by the side of the queues to see which
a) was moving slow and which were moving fast.
b) had more groups with kids/buggies
c) had large bags

The other half took about 20-25 mins by just joining a queue.

Issue with LGW last Friday causing 2 hour delays were the lack of staff to load and unload the bags on the planes.

The issue here is BAA appear to have lost control of their operations given the rules that they impose over and over the CAA requirement (e.g. bag size). And BAA appear to be accountable to no one for the excessive rules. It is no wonder the various airlines are asking for BAA to be broken up. They are bring this on themselves!
