Aust departure tax (called Passenger Movement Charge - code AU - $AU38) is collected by the airlines and will already be part off your ticket price (or not). As a transit pax you should not be paying it. There is also a Safety & Security Charge (code WG about $4) which you will pay. In NZ you have to pay the tax seperately at the airport.
