Play around with weekend fares & try 2 weekend trips.
It's weird, the cheapest AA.com fares are often not loaded into ITA.
I checked the 10/28-11/11 weekends.
Try checking the other weekends. DUB RT, BRU RT, & combos.
Sat 11/11 SFO-DUB, Sun 11/12 BRU-SFO is $480+ ($565). NLWWEBD
Sat 11/11 SFO-DUB, Sun 11/12 DUB-SFO is $536+ ($616). WLOWIE
Sat 10/28 SFO-DUB, Sun 10/29 BRU-SFO is $575+ ($660). NKWWEBD
----
I have a trip 11/6 SFO-DUB, 11/22 BRU-SFO for $450+ ($546). NLXWEBD
Saturday night stay required.
For some reason, SFO-DUB, BRU-SFO may be cheaper than SFO-DUB or SFO-BRU RT. For my trip 11/6-11/22, SFO-DUB RT is $616+ ($700), and SFO-BRU RT is $669+ ($765). I've checked fare buckets and fare codes, and I'm still confused - sometimes it's due to a bump to S or W class. NLXWEBD is the cheapest fare now. SFO-LHR was $430+ ($559) with NLXWEBD, but the price hiked to $494+ a few days ago with NLXWEBN. There are a bunch of different N.... fare class prices at AA.com, which might be why ITA.com often shows higher prices, but Orbitz.com shows the lower ones.
11,773 status miles for SFO-ORD-DUB, BRU-JFK-SFO.
Play around with the routings...
2 trips x $546 = $1,092.
22,000-26,000 status miles.
Plus possibly two cheapo flights as the connectors ($100-200)...but ideally you can find a RT combination which has the N fare class on your dates.
Good luck!
I've been thinking about squeezing in another 50,000 to make EXP this year...but I've already got 150,000 butt-in-seat miles and might want a rest.
