Sounds like you were at Enricos on Broadway, especially if it was in the "girlie" entertainment area. I've not read much about the food or oysters, mostly just the ambiance.
For oysters, go over to the Ferry Building and enjoy some Hog Island oysters. Two more weeks and I'll start eating them again.
