I second that, sorry it hasn't been a smooth and dignified experience. A part of the problem is that people who don't actually need a WCHR edit are asking for chairs (as you pointed out) and the delightful DDA means that airline staff are not able to question that. You would be amazed at the amount of people who rock up to checkin and suddenly announce that despite being able to get around Tesco and making it to the airport on foot they suddenly lose the ability to walk!! So the pressure on OCS is increased and those who have a very genuine need find their wait increased, often to an unreasonable length. It's very frustrating for staff and passengers, but I am unsure what can be done to resolve it without a large increase in resource, and we all know who will have to pay for that!
