If you want eggs for breakfas in San Francisco, try the Marriott Mascone. (instead of Ren Parc 55). Breakfast here (using your plat voucher) is a full spread buffet with made-to-order omlette stations (yes, 2 of them), smoked salmon and an assortment of fresh fruits, cereals and pastries.
My own experience of Marriott Mariner Delray is similar to yours. Nothing much to write home about.
