Not saying it will do any good, but I have sent a related request to the IT support email at this link. I encourage everyone to do the same.

My email said that it would be a useful website feature to be able to link all reservations linked to a FF# into your online profile, no matter how the tickets were puchased -- the ability to change seats in these reservations would be an extension of this feature. I said that other airlines' websites included this feature.

I received a nice, PC response "Thank you, yada yada...your request will be passed along for consideration in future website updates..." Who knows where it will go.

We can at least try to effect some change to get them up to speed.
