Its a shame the homes were never moved off the island it was a huge mistake. Oh well your gain everyone else's loss...

700 people - 220 homes. The geniuses in the Sun and the Star are
always getting their facts wrong (don't pay taxes; NDP conclave, etc.). If you really want to know something about the Island, there is an FAQ at

The Island residential community takes up about 3% of the Island parkland (not counting the airport). You couldn't fit Porter's fancy new terminal into the space the housing occupies, much less the airport!
