As suggested, I'm narrowing down choices of Arizona & Calfornia options a bit-need to stay in Continental US as we are utilizing airline miles for trip-specifically would like to get as close as possible to wonderful experiences we have had in St. Lucia, Cancun, Barbados, and The Big Island. Those properties were resorts with: beautiful common areas; quality rooms; landscaped grounds; and outstanding pools. Since we will be going over Thanksgiving, would prefer a warmer climate area (hence narrowing down to Arizona and California). Understand we will not see the ocean in Arizona and that is certainly not a requirement for a nice, relaxing stay at a resort-type hotel with quality amenities (which is what I am actually looking for).
