This is hardly unusual. Controllers in the US routinely work with eight hours between shifts. Some controllers have hour-long commutes, so now you're down to six hours of possible sleep time and that's assuming you can fall asleep at four in the afternoon. For a controller to be at work with two hours of sleep is not out of the ordinary.
