I have been an owner of the Fujitsu P7010 since May last year, and I can offer a conflicting opinion. I got the machine right when it came out, and it cost my company around $2400. Although this laptop is amazing light, and very powerful for it's size, I would not buy it again. I have experienced many problems with this machine since it's purchase.
In December last year, the hard disk died completely, and it had to be replaced (under warantary). Fortunately I had backed up all my files. A few months later, the LCD screen started to black out at random moments during use. Fujitsh could not diognoise the problem.
On top of these problems, this is not a tough laptop at all and bits and pieces come off easily. The build quality of the exterior shell casing is poor, and last week, to my amazement, the hinge cover and the underbody of the laptop broke (all flimsy plastic) due to a drop of about 3 feet while it was inside its slip case AND my breifcase. I was chraged $200 for the repair.
Also, something to consider if you will be doing significant amounts of work on this machine is the size of the screen (10.1"). It just makes text too small to read. I would never buy a laptop with a screen under 12" again.
Yes, everyone thinks it's so cool, and yes, it looks great. But at the end of the day, I want something that is functional, durable, and reliable, and this is just not it.
