So there is no cost to the person doing this. BTW can you please stop saying "I do see TSA and the airlines working together to come up with some sort of compromise" unless/until you have some evidence that this is happening. All we have thus far is evidence to the contrary (the UAL email I mentioned). Tomorrow we enter the fourth week and Ryanair is the only airline that has showed any dissatisfaction with the new rules.
And that UAL email was to me. I'd gladly forward it on offline if people don't believe that's what I actually got. I still have it.
