Only elite members are eligible for upgrades on Y fares at the time of purchase. Non-elites on full Y fares may stand by at the airport for a seat in F, but they are at the absolute bottom of the F standby waitlist.
Cool, thanks didnt know that. I always wondered how it was fair that anyone on a Y fare could upgrade infront of elites but I guess I understood the wording incorrectly
