As to the ID check, I think my colleague might have protested, except that she had a time critical meeting to make in DC, and if she had missed that flight, she wasn't going to make it. (BTW, it WAS Pepsi, not Coke, that she had!). I will keep track of whether there is any effort to assess a civil penalty.

As to the two Starbucks toting passengers (who, BTW, knew each other...and had cell phones....clearly a dangerous cell of conspirators), since they both drank out of their cups (unless that was an elaborate charade), I believe that they had liquid in them, at least at the outset of the flight....
