I've been carrying bottled water (purchased inside terminal, post-security) in my bag on purpose because I'm angry at a poorly, hastily constructed policy seemingly designed solely to inconvenience individuals and cause general discomfort over long hauls.

Flew ORD-SNA r/t last week. On outbound, no bag checks at gate. On return flight, there were two TSA individuals doing random bag checks, but they didn't check me.

I happened to be traveling with the entire family -- wife and three kids. At the security checkpoint, they checked the baby's diaper bag by hand. The confiscated some diaper ointment. I guess my baby son looked suspicious. These are the most inane regulations ever instituted. Chertoff should be tar and feathered!
