I just signed up for T-Mobile service. I've been resisting because they're rates are, IMHO, too high. But my firm uses T-Mobile for our blackberry service, and I discovered that that qualifies me for a $20/month rate, with no commitment. This compares to the regular $39.95/month rate with no commitment, or $29.95 rate with a one-year commitment. At $20, I was willing to take the plunge.

But the day after I signed up, I logged in at the CX lounge at LHR and learned that I would have to pay a per-minute roaming charge to use my account there. It was a high enough rate that I declined and just paid the normal daily fee (which I think was GBP5 for one hour and GBP10 for 24 hours). Kinda annoying. (Of course I could have used the free workstations in the CX lounge, but I was being lazy.)
