I too love smelly cheese and was in heaven in France. Oddly, as a child i absolutely detested blue cheese and goat's milk cheeses. Now, I adore them.

My favourite is Epoisses -- I think my Mom puked the first time I bought some and opened the package!!

Roquefort is great, as is Reblochon, Fourme D'Ambert, Vacherin Mont D'Or, Pont l'Eveque, and
Tomme de Savoie......

Brie de Meaux and a good camembert are always nice as well.
