Burt's Bees shampoo bar didn't work for me, either. My hair is slightly wavy, very thick and shoulder-length. It coated each strand so thickly that I looked like Bozo. I was in the middle of nowhere in Africa and used the soap over my whole body. It felt pretty yucky; like I forgot to rinse.

I have more bars (they come in the sample kits) and strangely, keep trying to use them in situations like the current airline liquid ban. I don't know if it is because I am really cheap, really stubborn, or really stupid.
