For a UK triband, and I think in general you will be better off with a TMobile prepaid. I dont know the geographic distribution but Cingular is switching more and more of its network to an 850 frequency which your UK triband likely will not have. You can get a prepaid SIM at any TMobile coorporate store, and likely some of the independents that handle TMobile in Manhattan. If you go to the Tmobile US web page and enter the location of the hotel it will tell you where the nearest stores are located. There are quite a few in Manhattan.
