I'm so apalled as I'm writing this from my hotel room. This is probably the WORST full service property I've ever stayed in. A full service property should be held to a higher standard. I usually don't complain but I'm "passionate"

about this....
Not in any particular order:
1. How can they pass this off as a FS MARRIOTT when it's a converted COURTYARD property. The layout of the room screams legacy Courtyard - tiny bathroom in front of room with one sink, closet with full length mirror, green carpet, etc. For all you frequent Marriot'ers you know the drill!
2. Concierge closed for the weekend. Not that bad, but as a PLT member not given any breakfast coupons at check-in. Will ask tomorrow.
3. Moldy hallways and walls. Once I stepped into this property with my wife, we both looked at each other...the smell is horendous. Like one bad stick of deodarant...
4. The carpet throughout the hotel (especially my room) noticeably worn and stained.
5. I think I'm sleeping on a 20yr old mattress. No joke - sinks completely in the middle and it squeaks with only the slightest movement.

6. Room service closes at midnight. This was the final straw. I was contemplating checking out after we checked in. ... - I gots the munchies!
My rant is primarily due to point #1 and I'm paying $170/nt for this dump. The only reason I'm staying here is for the EEO offer (one night free). I guess you get what you pay for. You guys know the drill when your wife gives you that look for being budget conscious and it backfires ("I told you so..").
Seriously contemplating moving to the "FOUR" tomorrow night to redeem myself.
Every time I travel with my wife I get no special treatment as a PLT. She wonders why the hell I even keep my business with Marriott when I get better treatment at Starwood and Hilton as a Gold.
Overall, we're just underwhelmed with Austin in general.
