In my experience, it takes between about a week for CO miles to post to my AS account. I suspect that if you urgently need the miles posted sooner than that (and you do!), you could fax copies of your boarding passes to the AS Mileage Plan office (with your information on it) at 206-433-3477.

There very well might be saver awards available for your flights.

If I were you, I'd seriously consider just buying the SFO-YVR tickets with cash. You could get far more "bang" for your miles on another route...and this would also relieve some of the stress of making sure the miles get posted rapidly and the questionable availability of saver awards.
