No, we have not checked out Portafinos or Chops. Both menus look pretty good. Overall, I can't say that the food is spectacular here. It might be better in those specialty restaurants. I did find the food pretty good at Johnny Rockets, where we ate there once for lunch.
This is only my second cruise and I'm still amazed that you cannot get a DECENT CUP OF COFFEE! For some reason, maybe its the water they use, the coffee is terrible on board. But then again, that just may be my taste.

Outside of Internet changes, bar charges and upcharges for the specialty restaurants, that's pretty much all we spend onboard. We don't shop except for maybe a t-shirt and we don't do the ship-sponsored shore excursions.
I'm a coffee fanatic so I'll give you my take as well. The coffee on the Holland America ships is usually pretty good and they're the line we cruise most often.
