Not all the posters here looking for hair gel are male! Many of us from the "other" gender must have hair gel these days if we have a perm. Just to educate some of you - that "curly, wavy" kind of look you see on some of us comes from a chemical perm that must be "gelled" every day or we'd look somewhat like Bozo the clown. Sorry, the perm is in, can't change it now just due to new TSA regulations. By the way, the gel or mouse dries rock hard and is not the stuff you see on the plane windows or the back of your seat - that comes from a different product.
To the others, I'm now finishing up my 2nd week of travel through all this and the hair gel remains the missing piece. Toothpaste comes from the hotel along with most other stuff. I'm just buying hair gel at the local CVS in each town and I leave it with the front desk clerk with instructions to save it for the next poor road warrior who needs it. So - ask at the front desk before going out to buy - perhaps a few of the hotels are catching on.
