The older ladies have worked their entire lives in the flight attendant business. I don't understand what United is supposed to do -- throw them out on their tooshes because they're not sexy enough?

With their new contracts, crappy benefits, and bleak retirements, most of these poor souls will be working well into their 90's just to make ends meet.

Next time you see a friendly old matron, give her a peck on the cheek and tell her you appreciate her devotion to her work.
