SWF is another option. A few minutes longer drive-wise, but if BDL's your other choice ... likely to be quicker

There are a couple CRJ flights on the SWF schedule, if you don't like the dash.

On the downside, fares out of SWF weren't very competitive when I was living in that area, but it's a straight shot across 84, and as long as you don't hit Danbury during rush hour, should be an easy enough drive.
