>Does your company do a per diem or do you submit receipts?

No per diem, must submit expense report and be reimbursed.

Submit receipts for any expense over $20 USD. Daily limits, i.e. can't eat at Morton's every night.

>What are your meal expense policies like?

'Reasonable.' Can't eat at Morton's every night but not living at Subway or McDonalds. Blind eye to alcohol provided dinner isn't six bottles of Bud. No minibar.

>Are you able to be flexible at all in choosing flights?

Yes and no - Economy only, no exceptions. Freedom to choose routing / carrier but must justify why you didn't take a cheaper option if it's available. Justification is usually a rubber stamp, i.e. I've never gotten flack for taking a more expensive flight / routing than within reason.
