Generally, there is a large time lag between you qualifying (getting enough miles) and your silver memebership being entered into the system. If you want those 25% extra miles, I am sure that you could put up a good case to skywards as to why you should receive them. I don't see why they would say no, unless the person you talk to is not co-operative.
