I believe I recall reading that if you use your gold/patinum card to bid, you get the CDW coverage. Try searching betterbidding for more info.

Until now, I have always been able to get a better deal booking the car directly with some sort of discount. This time looks different - PL just quoted me $27++ per day for a standard car for 5 days next week, well below the $300 level.

And do watch out for those triple-parked jerks if you venture into town.
