OTT and unrelated but one of my hobby horses!

why do these train companies continue to re-brand and think it's good news for the passengers???

Thameslink is now First Capital Connect. Sames trains. Sames delays. Same price. Same service. New stickers inside the train and new name.

2 or so years ago, South Western (or so) re-branded as "Southern" and they actually had the cheek of putting up posters claiming "this is the good news you've been waiting for" as part of their re-brand campaign.

I wish they would spend less money on new names, posters, signs and all that crap and more on getting trains on time, more modern trains and decent fares !!!

here endeth the lecture.
