Seat 10A in 757 - Huh? Can't Hear - LOUD Noise

I was on a flight the other day, AA B757 and I chose 10A for the extra leg room, which was nice.

Other good thoughts about this seat:

+Excellent Window View
+Exit Row-Extra Room
+Full Recline and no full recline from anybody infront of me

What sucked:

+Not particularly fond of tray tables in the seat armrest (same problem with all exit and bulkhead rows)
+No storage space-I knew this taking that seat
+Emergency Exit Door protrudes a bit as the emergency slide cover extends out about 3-4 inches into the leg space.
+When pax from 10B used this space to "go around" to use the restroom in front of me and in front of all of row 9.
+Last and most important, what sucked was the friggin' noise from the RR-Trent Engines....wholy smokes!!! Is that grumble/vibration/humm that severe in all seats in front of the engines (sounded like a HUGE Hoover Vaccuum or something)? I had impeared hearing in my left ear for the first hour of the flight until we reached cruising altitude. Maybe somebody knows the ins and outs of this noise? Prolly won't select this seat or any other seat close to the noise if I find out.
