Ah, AA and Expedia are both waving that in my case. That was my one partial success.

Yes, normally that would be accurate. Expedia was not sure on whether or not just the 50€ AA fare portion was non-refundable, or the whole thing. But they agreed to waive whatever it is after talking to AA.

Normally, the AA fare would require a 100US$ change fee I would be willing to pay to AA.
