Am also a contact lens wearer (gas permeable, not disposable ones).

Fortunately have nothing (apart from a short hop to Belfast and back) until early October

Will print out the bit from the BA FAQ to take anyway (thanks PhilH ).

Think the answer is to take the contact lens case filled with solution. If someone queries it (i.e. it is a case with solution, but not lenses in it), I will whip my lenses out and stick them in the case... (only takes a couple of seconds). Fortunately I can still see without them in (incredibly long sighted), but I tend to look as though I am something dodgy (I look very "spaced").

You can't NOT take a case with solutions in on the plane - a 10+ hour in a plane with contact lenses in would be torture...
