Kempis,
Your message certainly deserves a "Radio Eriwan" answer: In principle, yes, you can fly for 30K RT biz to HNLī(or 15K RT in eco) , but, in practise...

As far as my understanding of the FD program goes, you have to find a NW connection between PHL and HNL with a single flight number, i.e. not necessarily a nonstop flight, even change of aircraft is possible. Then you have to be very, very, very lucky, to find an empty seat.

I checked several airport combinations, where I (just by empiral search) have found single NW flight number connections to HNL, for instance MSP, LAX... There might be one from PHL, but I didn't succeed to find it. In addition, I tried several flight dates, going well into 2002, both in biz and tourist class. The KLM booking machine always replied "no flights found". Thus, I believe, you need to be very, very.....

I personally try to use my RW FD points to book flights between the US and Europe (or vice versa), when (1) regular ticket prices here in the US reach the sky (for instance during the summer) and I can't establish my route via planned-ahead Europe-US-Europe-US-Europe bookings or when (2) I need short roundtrips US-Europe or within Europe circumventing the annoying but obligatory 6 day or Saturnight night rules. This usually gives me the best $ per point ratio. Of course, that doesn't sound like a dream trip, but for those things I usually try last minute bargains etc (of course, never in biz).

Regards
Chris

In the near future I will hopfully hae around 55K on my FD account. What would be the best use of these? Is it really correct that you can fly from PHL to HNL in biz for only 30K round trip? On amadeus.net I saw that NW doesnt seem to have any biz, does that mean I will be flying first for just 30K round trip?

Is this the best use of some FD points? The other 20K that would be left could be used for some intra europe flights on KL.
