Here's a long, detailed summary of the whole situation. My take on it is that these guys wanted attention, so they chose the MacBook for the demonstration. It doesn't really have anything to do with Macs.
I am a proponet of Mac but believe also in common sense and being responsible and reasonable to the dark side
