Actually Oneworld needs DXB to fail as a hub ... OW is committed to SIN, BKK and HKG (and soon to be NRT) for long-haul hubs and AMM (and NRT) for short-haul hub. Any traffic via DXB is business out of OW's pocket for the most part.
