Due to a leg injury and difficulty walking I have a temporary (red) disability parking placard issued for me for a few months in my home state of California. I am leaving on a 10-day trip to Germany and wonder if I can validly use my placard in disability spots in Germany, or if I have to somehow track down a German placard during my limited time there, which I know would be logistically very difficult to do (if I were moving there, I clealry would do it)

I've read mixed comments on whether placards from other countries are valid in foreign countries, e.g., supposedly placards from other EU states are supposed to be valid all over the EU, but I've also read you might get a fine anyway, and the US is not part of the EU.

I also wonder if a temporary red placard has different rules than a permanent blue placard.
